Hundreds of children from around Scotland are treated for a rare condition at the children's hospital each year.

Rare conditions are chronic, often life-threatening, and can be very overwhelming for families faced with the unknown.

Our Office for Rare Conditions is the only resource of its kind in Scotland, leading the way to improve the care and experiences of young patients with rare conditions.

"The Office for Rare Conditions is such a valuable resource for family like ours - not only for the fun stuff like their family events, but also for the ‘behind the scenes’ work they do raising awareness. They also provide a lot of practical support to families and it has given us the opportunity to meet others in similar situations which has been invaluable."

Your Donations Matter

With your donations, we can continue funding crucial research to transform treatments and care for young patients with rare or undiagnosed conditions.

Your generosity will also allow us to fund emotional support, practical support, and events for families, to help them cope with the challenges of their child requiring life-long hospital care.

Donate today and make a difference to children and young people in Scotland living with rare conditions. Thank you.
