Caleb Braved the Shave!

24 June 2020 Caleb5

“Caleb wanted to shave his head to raise money to help all the sick children in hospital just now. I'm so proud of him for raising over £1,000."

Caleb missed 100 days of school last year for treatment at the children's hospital. Mum Stacey shares how Glasgow Children's Hospital Charity helped during a really tough time:

"Caleb has chronic asthma and gastro oesophagal reflux disease, among other problems. Last year was really tough - he spent nine months in and out, having an operation and a lot of tests. We really don't know where we'd be without the funded Play Programme.

"Caleb was terrified of getting bloods taken but attended the charity’s Teddy Hospital. Through structured play therapy with the play specialists there, it helped him to understand that what won't hurt the teddy, won't hurt him.

"We've seen all the amazing things the charity are doing during these tough times to help the Play Programme continue safely and it just feels really special to be a part of making that happen. Caleb is such a wee star."
