Dance Music Icons Unite to Fundraise

25 June 2020 streetrave

On Saturday the 27th of June, STREETrave and Radisson RED Glasgow will join forces with some of the most iconic names in dance music to raise funds for Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity.

We would like to share our thanks with the teams at STREETrave and Radisson RED Glasgow, for choosing to support our young patients and their families with their unique fundraising event.

The STREETrave LIVEstream will see a stellar lineup of DJs, including Utah Saints, Slipmatt, K-Klass and The Mambo Brothers (who will be playing a 25 years of Cafe Mambo set) live stream their DJ sets from 2pm - Midnight on the STREETtrave & Colours Facebook pages and streaming platform Twitch.

Throughout the virtual event, viewers will have the opportunity to donate and interact with the DJs, who will be streaming live from the Radisson RED Sky Bar (in line with the Government’s COVID-19 guidance with strict social distancing in place) and around the country.

Since lockdown, the STREETrave team have organised multiple live stream events to raise funds for charity and encourage people to ‘stay at home’ during lockdown.

"Our live streams have been a great way to help keep our fans connected when they would normally have been going to our club nights and festivals, they have also helped us raise funds for some incredible charities. Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity is a cause very close to our hearts and we are honoured to have them as our charity partner for our live stream."

 Ricky Magowan, Streetrave promoter

Kirsten Sinclair, Chief Operating Officer, Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity said: “We are committed to supporting NHS staff, young patients, and their families during the Covid-19 crisis and beyond. Our hospital projects and services are supported entirely by fundraising and donations, so we are incredibly grateful to organisations like STREETrave for their generosity. We hope the event is a great success, and would like to thank everyone involved for helping to ensure that beyond the crisis, we can be there for those in hospital who need us most.”

This will be the second live stream event that Radisson RED Glasgow has hosted for the STREETrave promoters.

"We are delighted to host another live stream event from our rooftop Radisson RED Sky Bar. It’s fantastic to be involved with an initiative that brings live entertainment to people in the comfort and safety of their own home, where they can watch the stream and enjoy a wonderful backdrop of some of Glasgow’s most iconic landmarks while supporting a very important local charity. Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity offers life-changing support and we hope the event can raise both vital funds and awareness of the incredible work they do."
