We are incredibly grateful to GoProvidence and the Rhode Island Sports Commission who have been inspired by the Tartan Army to donate an incredible $5,000 to Glasgow Children's Hospital Charity.

That initial gift sparked an immediate wave of generosity across the city of Providence, with local bars and restaurants quickly coming together to contribute an additional $5,500 of their own,

Although our young patients can't be at the matches, they're cheering for Scotland from the wards - they're our very own hospital Tartan Army!

Kristen Adamo, CEO at GoProvidence said: "We recently hosted thousands of members of the Tartan Army in our area, as part of the World Cup.

“This is our small way of giving back to a group that gave so much to us,” said Kristen Adamo, president & CEO of GoProvidence.

“The Tartan Army reignited Rhode Islanders’ love for Providence. They brought joy, a sense of community, and a whole lot of bagpipes everywhere they went. We miss them terribly - and we hope this gesture shows just how grateful we are.”

Every day, 500 children from across Scotland are cared for at the children's hospital in Glasgow.

This generous donation will allow Glasgow Children's Hospital Charity to help these children and their families during the most difficult days of their lives.

We'd like to send our heartfelt thanks to our new friends across the Atlantic for such an incredibly kind gift, and for everyone who donates in support of this appeal.
