Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity turns 20 - with your hand in theirs 

This month marks the start of the Charity's 20th Anniversary, after being founded in 2001 as Yorkhill Children's Foundation. 

Over the next 12 months, we will be reflecting on the impact made possible thanks to our volunteers and supporters in these 20 years, and holding a whole host of special campaigns and events to continue raising vital funds.

While a lot has changed in the world in the last 20 years, one thing remains the same - children cared for in Scotland's busiest children's hospital continue to depend on our kind-hearted volunteers.

In 20 years, our volunteers have donated hundreds of thousands of hours, helping us to invest more than £39million into transforming hospital experiences for children from across Scotland, and their families.

As we look forward to the next 20 years, our volunteers will continue to sit at the heart of the Charity as we work hand in hand with our NHS heroes to fund crucial support services and hospital enhancements. 

Together with your support, we can keep Glasgow at the forefront of paediatric healthcare, and ensure that our children receive care that is second-to-none.

Get involved with our 20th Anniversary

Over the next year, there will be lots of ways for you to get involved with our 20th Anniversary fundraising activities. The Volunteer Team will keep you updated with more information soon, but in the meantime, here is a hint of what's to come:

Grand Prize Draw 2021

We have been gifted a brand new MINI Electric to giveaway to one lucky winner, thanks to our generous supporters Arnold Clark!

Our Prize Draw will run from late September through to Christmas, and will include a roadshow with our very own charity-branded MINI, that we'll take to key locations around Glasgow and the West to promote ticket sales.

News about our Grand Prize Draw is still under wraps for now, but our team will be in touch with you soon about all the ways that you can support this exciting campaign!

Festive Fun

It might still feel like Summer but for the Charity, Christmas is just around the corner! As well as our calendar of hospital activities, and our pop-up shops around the city, we'll also be welcoming our popular ladies lunch into our festive calendar for Let's Lunch at Christmas.
