Buying additional annual leave
GCHC is committed to supporting employees to achieve a healthy balance between their work and personal lives and in addition to the contracted annual leave, employees may apply to purchase a maximum of five additional days of annual leave per annum, rising to eight days after three years’ service, nine days after 4 years’ service and capped at ten days after 5 years of service (all pro rata for part time employees), via a salary sacrifice arrangement. Employees wishing to do so should refer to the Buying Additional Annual leave procedure.

Reducing Annual Leave Entitlement
To offer the maximum flexibility around leave and pay, staff may elect to reduce their annual entitlement prior to 1 April and receive a commensurate increase in their annual salary. The minimum number of annual leave days’ entitlement will be 20 days. If an employee takes up this option they will require to commit doing so for one financial year and this will be reviewed each year.
