Hospital Volunteer Programme
Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity in partnership with NHSGGC recruits, supports and trains all of the volunteers who support the patients, families and visitors to the Royal Hospital for Children.
We have over 120 Glasgow Children's Hospital Charity volunteers at the hospital who are there to help children and their families through their journey.
There are many volunteering roles at the hospital, including Welcome Guides, Teen Volunteers and Fundraising Hub volunteers. This pioneering partnership with NHSGGC ensures the effective recruitment and management of volunteers in the hospital and has helped to enhance the patient and visitor experience within the hospital.
Pictured above is one of our Hospital Education Volunteers Lydia with 11 year old patient, Joshua. This year, Joshua will make the big step to Secondary School.
Our Hospital Education volunteers like Lydia help to make sure that patients like Joshua still have access to educational activities and resources so that they can keep up to date with their education.
Our volunteer programme helps us to ensure that the babies, children and young people have the best possible experience at the Royal Hospital for Children, Glasgow. Find out more about becoming one of our hospital volunteers.
