Dr Alison Rennie is a Consultant Paediatrician with a special interest in children with neurodisability and complex healthcare needs.
Dr Rennie works in the Southbank Child Centre in the Gorbals, one of four Child Development Centres in Glasgow where children with developmental disabilities, physical impairment and autism spectrum disorders are assessed and managed within a multi-disciplinary team setting.
She is also Clinical Director for Specialist Community Paediatrics for Greater Glasgow and Clyde.
Dr Rennie’s additional professional activities include Child Protection work and a position as an Honorary Senior Lecturer at Glasgow University. Dr Rennie’s knowledge of working in community settings allows her to contribute a valuable viewpoint to the work of Glasgow Children's Hospital Charity.
Dr Rennie currently chairs the Professional and Scientific Advisory Committee of the Charity, a multi-professional group which scrutinise grant applications prior to recommendation to the Board of Directors.
