Our New Name

Following the hospital's move from Yorkhill, Yorkhill Children's Charity has now become Glasgow Children's Hospital Charity.

Our name may have changed, but our mission remains the same.

We are continuing to raise money to fund equipment and services at the new children's hospital, helping to provide the best possible care to all of our young patients and their families.

As Scotland's largest children's hospital, the Royal Hospital for Children treats patients from every corner of the country.

Glasgow Children's Hospital Charity will continue the care of Yorkhill Children's Charity, making the best even better for the 160,000 babies, children and young people treated every year at the hospital.

Taking our place at the heart of the hospital

Glasgow Children's Hospital Charity has already committed more than £5.5 million of enhanced equipment and services to the new children’s hospital.

Here are just a few of the projects that you’ve helped to fund in our new home:

  • A ground breaking, innovative project with Glasgow Science Centre to enhance many of the hospital’s waiting areas
  • Enhanced medical equipment
  • Pull down beds for parents and carers
  • Enhanced play rooms on every ward
  • Stimulating and engaging outdoor spaces for patients and visitors alike
  • A state of the art sensory room

With your help, we can continue to ensure that our young patients and their families receive the best possible care - thank you.
